It's that time of the year again! As a traveling musician, Southwest Florida is proudly Gerald's home. It is to his advantage that he resides near the captivating beaches of Naples Florida. Gerald can be found performing in the elegant Naples hotel circuit. Hotels such as The Ritz Carlton, The Naples Beach Hotel, La Playa, and the Marco Marriott just to name a few. Events such as wedding receptions, corporate parties, cocktail hours, to jazz in the lobby are some of the places Gerald can be found performing his passionate melodies.

Gerald Augustin Music

 

Gerald, originally from South West Florida, started playing the saxophone at age 12 in middle school. Right from the beginning he felt drawn to everything music had to offer. Gerald quickly submerged himself into the history of jazz starting with the original innovator himself Louis Armstrong. With intense schooling, hard work, and astounding teachers, Gerald has been fortunate enough to establish a great career at a very young age. Currently living in Los Angeles, Gerald has been hard at work taking his musical career to the next level. On May 3, 2014 Gerald performed his second jazz concert at The World Stage Performing Arts Gallery in Leimert park. The turn out? A room packed of enthusiastic jazz lovers (video below). His band was made up of musicians Daryl Dardin on guitar, Michael Alvidrez on upright bass, and Jerrell Ballard on drums. Gerald is currently working on his first jazz album which is expected be out by the end of May. This album will include some of Gerald’s favorite jazz standards as well as a few originals.
